This is a section of Corcovado National Park - no buildings, no people or rarely (I saw none over three days), and it looks much like this for at least 30 miles except for the substantial tidals every few miles that are deep, shark-and -saltwater-crocodile infested and that go well into the rain forest at high tides - not to mention the cliffs and waterfalls that can force a wanderer back into the jungle. Imagine crossing a deep (up to your neck in the middle) tidal at midnight that is 100 yards wide with a full moon. Beautiful, romantic, and exceptionally dangerous.
